BaleeORGANIZATION

Eight focus areas. One goal: a self-reliant India.

Our founding charter names more than a hundred causes. We organise them into eight focus areas, each guided by the same path — awareness, access and self-reliance.

Our approach

Every programme follows one path

Lasting change begins when people know their rights — and is complete when they no longer need our help.

01

Awareness

Seminars, camps, publications and digital campaigns that help people understand their rights, duties and the government schemes meant for them.

02

Access

Direct help where it is needed most — medical aid, meals, clothing, education support and shelter, delivered alongside government and partners.

03

Self-reliance

Skills, jobs and enterprise so people can support themselves — the goal every one of our programmes points towards.

01 · Education & Literacy

Learning that opens every door

Education is the foundation of everything we do. We encourage children in education and sports, support adults who missed out on schooling, and work towards institutions that bring quality learning closer to home.

  • Adult education and literacy programmes
  • Libraries, reading rooms and e-learning
  • Training in computers, fine arts, painting and yoga
  • Working towards schools and colleges, including technical, IT and B.Ed.

02 · Health & Medical Care

Care that reaches those who can't reach it

We take healthcare to people who cannot easily access it — through camps, medicines and awareness — while building towards permanent facilities.

  • Medical treatment and check-up camps
  • Free medicines and aid for poor and ailing persons
  • Health, nutrition and HIV/AIDS awareness
  • Support for cancer patients, blindness and neglected tropical diseases
  • Working towards dispensaries, hospitals and nursing colleges

03 · Human Rights & Legal Awareness

Knowing your rights is the first step to claiming them

Guided by the Constitution of India, we help citizens understand their rights, duties and the laws and policies made for them — and we raise injustice with the right authorities.

  • Human rights awareness camps and seminars
  • Legal awareness and advocacy on social issues
  • Right to Information (RTI) and consumer awareness
  • Amicable settlement of disputes to keep peace in communities
  • Corruption and crime control awareness

04 · Women & Child Welfare

Safety, dignity and opportunity for women and children

Women and children are often the most vulnerable members of a community — and the ones who can transform it most. We work to protect them and to open new opportunities.

  • Women’s empowerment and protection drives
  • Adolescent girls’ welfare and awareness
  • Child rights, child welfare and action against child labour
  • Action against trafficking of women and against dowry
  • Support for orphan children

05 · Youth, Skills & Livelihood

From a helping hand to a steady income

Our end goal is self-reliance. We help young people and economically weaker families build skills and find work, and support enterprises that create jobs locally.

  • Skill development and job support for unemployed youth
  • Self-help groups and micro-enterprises
  • Handicraft support and help for migrant and unorganised workers
  • Digital awareness, Digital India and start-up support
  • Agriculture, animal husbandry, dairy, horticulture and food processing

06 · Environment & Sustainability

A healthier planet for the next generation

Clean air, water and green spaces are rights too. We promote practical action that communities can take together.

  • Plantation drives and forest management
  • Pollution control and climate change awareness
  • Waste and e-waste management, sanitation
  • Solar energy, water and irrigation
  • Parks and gardens for public use

07 · Elderly & Disability Care

No one should be left without care

We stand with those society too often forgets — the elderly, widows, the destitute and people living with physical or mental challenges — with love, care and support.

  • Old age homes, shelters and shelter homes
  • Support for widows and destitute persons
  • Help for physically and mentally challenged people
  • Meals, clothing and essential support for the needy
  • Care and welfare of animals, including cow protection (gaushala)

08 · Social Reform & Community

Stronger values, stronger communities

We work to remove social evils, preserve the culture and values of every faith, and bring people together — especially in times of crisis.

  • Campaigns against dowry, bribery, smoking, drug addiction and adulteration
  • Counselling children and adults towards good habits and values
  • Cultural, patriotic, sports and yoga programmes
  • Disaster management and humanitarian relief
  • Seminars, publications and digital campaigns
