Governance
How decisions are made
The administration of the trust rests with its Board of Trustees, under rules set out in the trust deed.
Board of Trustees
The Board has at least two members and is led by a Founder & President, a General Secretary and a Cashier. Trustees serve without remuneration.
Regular meetings
The Board meets at least three times a year. Two trustees present form a quorum, and the presiding trustee has a casting vote in a tie.
Resolutions
Decisions are taken by a simple majority of trustees present, or by a written resolution signed by all trustees.
Clear roles
Bank accounts are operated by the President or persons authorised by the Board. Deeds and documents are executed on behalf of the trust.
Fixed objectives
The trust has undertaken not to amend its objects clause without the consent of the concerned authority.
Trustee standards
A trustee ceases to hold office if found to act against the trust’s interests, or on missing three consecutive meetings without permission.
Finances
How money is handled
These commitments are written into our trust deed — they are not policies we can quietly change.
- All income is used solely towards the aims and objects of the trust
- Trustees receive no remuneration — only genuine out-of-pocket expenses
- Financial year runs from 1 April to 31 March
- Accounts are audited every year by a Chartered Accountant and placed before the Board
- Funds are invested only in the forms permitted under Section 11(5) of the Income-tax Act
- On dissolution, remaining assets can only go to trusts with similar objectives — never to trustees or their relatives

Our deed permits the trust to raise funds through the following channels:
