Questions about giving
How is my donation used?
All income of the trust is used solely to promote its aims and objectives. No part of it is paid to trustees as profit, interest or dividend. If you choose a focus area, your donation is directed there.
Is my donation eligible for tax exemption?

Can I choose which cause my donation supports?
Yes. Choose a focus area in the donation form, or leave it on "Where the need is greatest" so we can direct it to the most urgent work.
What is the difference between annual and lifetime membership?
Annual membership is ₹1,000 and is renewed every year. Lifetime membership is a one-time contribution of ₹5,000. The governing body may revise fees from time to time.
Who benefits from Balee's work?
The general public at large. Our work is open to everyone, irrespective of caste, creed, country, religion, faith, race or gender.
How can I verify how funds are managed?
Our accounts are audited every financial year by a Chartered Accountant. Visit our Transparency page for governance details and documents.
